How We Got Started

Orlando Margo, University of Texas Pan American Alumni Class of 1980, opened his first snowcone stand in college to help finance his studies. The first stand opened in 1977 and was located in Weslaco Texas. Demand for snowcones grew accross the sweltering Rio Grande Valley and quickly thereafter he began franchising in 1987 . Today there are 270 Raspa Rama Stands throught New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and Florida.
